Air Line State Park Trail (Chaplin section)

The Air Line State Park Trail runs roughly 50 miles across eastern Connecticut from Thompson to Portland on a rail bed built in the 1870s, passing through Chaplin. Open to walkers, hikers, bikers and horseback riders, with cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter; free, leashed pets allowed.
