A basilica whose title Roma Capitale traces to the fourth century, with a first church attributed to a third-century figure named Equizio.
History
Roma Capitale records that the church and the adjoining convent were entrusted to the Carmelites by Boniface VIII, on condition that they set up a house of study there. The Comune's page gives two different years for that entrustment in two places, so no year is given here.
