A church begun in 1907 and completed in 1928 to designs by Franz Joseph Untersee, elevated to minor basilica by the pontifical decree Quamquam Christianus on September 15, 1969.
History
The parish is now predominantly Hispanic and Chinese, with Masses celebrated in English, Spanish, Chinese and Vietnamese.
