Bevin Bros. Manufacturing Co.
Attraction · East Hampton, Connecticut
Founded in 1832 and now in its sixth generation of family ownership, America's only dedicated bell manufacturer, producing more than 50 sizes and styles — the reason East Hampton is called "Belltown, USA." Its bells have rung as the NYSE opening and closing gong and on Salvation Army kettles and Good Humor trucks. No factory tours are offered, but visitors may browse a small display in the factory office. Office hours Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., closed to the public Fridays.
