Burnham Library

Endowed by shipping captain William D. Burnham, the library traces to 1904 and its Greek Revival building — constructed of granite quarried in nearby Roxbury — was dedicated in 1926; the library itself dates its founding to that year. Open Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Phone (860) 354-6937.
