A 14.9-acre riverfront park named around 1910-1911 for German-born U.S. Interior Secretary Carl Schurz; contains Gracie Mansion and the John Finley Walk esplanade along the East River, with active summer programming from the Carl Schurz Park Conservancy.
History
Part of the site was set aside as "East River Park" in 1876, before the 1910-1911 renaming.
