A 130-acre mill-village district listed on the National Register in 1991, with Greek Revival, Italianate and Bungalow/Craftsman architecture. Landmarks include the 1872 town hall, the 1924 Plainfield High School, the c. 1855 Arthur Fenner mansion and the 1845 Greek Revival Congregational Church. A publicly walkable streetscape.
