Chatfield Hollow State Park
Park · Killingworth, Connecticut
Roughly 18 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and cross-country skiing, plus swimming and picnicking at Schreeder Pond, a designated Trout Park for fishing. A restored waterwheel, a covered bridge and old building foundations remain in the valley. Open daily 8 a.m.–sunset, free for in-state vehicles, $10–$15 out-of-state.
