The Coignet Stone Company Building

The oldest remaining concrete building in New York City, known locally as the Pippin Building. It is vacant, has been repeatedly relisted for sale, and is not open to the public, so the visit is an exterior one.

History

Built between 1872 and 1873 by the architects William Field and Son, and designated a New York City landmark on June 27, 2006. Its exterior was restored between 2014 and 2016 with funding from the adjacent Whole Foods.
