Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Pomfret

A nature center with environmental and art exhibits, plus the surrounding 700-acre Bafflin Sanctuary and its seven miles of trails through grassland, wetland, and forest. More than 200 bird species have been recorded, and the site is a nationally recognized Important Bird Area. Center open Tuesday-Sunday, noon-4 p.m.; trails dawn to dusk.
