Nero's palace complex, begun after the fire of 64 AD.

History

Roma Capitale names the architects Severus and Celer and the decorator Fabullus, also given as Famulus. The complex held pavilions, gardens and an artificial lake in the valley where the Colosseum was later built, and included the octagonal hall known as the coenatio rotunda. No source states its opening or ticketing information, so none is given here.
