Fontana dei Cavalli Marini

A fountain of 1791 at the piazzale that takes its name, a large circular basin carried on four hippocamps.

History

The painter Cristopher Unterberger designed it on an earlier model and Vincenzo Pacetti executed it. It replaced, in the eighteenth century, an earlier fountain called del Mascherone.
