Hyde Park
Park · Stafford, Connecticut
A 150-acre public park on the south side of the Middle River, created in 1911 from Julius Converse's former estate using an 1897 bequest from Stafford native Isaac Perkins Hyde. Its centerpiece is the Stafford Soldiers Monument, erected 1924 by sculptor Frederic Wellington Ruckstull, honoring Civil War veterans.
