Ledyard Up-Down Sawmill (Sawmill Park)
Historic site · Ledyard, Connecticut
A rare surviving water-powered up-and-down (sash) sawmill, restored in the 1970s and owned by the town; the park also holds a blacksmith shop, circular sawmill, shingle machine, gristmill, and ice-harvesting exhibits. Free admission; volunteer-run demonstrations Saturdays 1-4 p.m. in spring (April-May) and fall (October-November).
