Lucius Pond Ordway–Devil's Den Preserve

The Nature Conservancy's largest continuous preserve in Connecticut, roughly 1,800 acres with a 20-mile blazed trail system drawing more than 40,000 visits a year. Katharine Ordway began assembling it with a 1,100-acre purchase from the Bridgeport Hydraulic Company in 1966. Open sunrise to sunset; no dogs, bikes or motorized vehicles.
