Ponte Flaminio

An arch bridge carrying Corso di Francia over the Tiber, 254.94 metres long and 27 metres wide. It stands in the quartieri Parioli and Q. XVIII Tor di Quinto.

History

Armando Brasini designed it with the engineer Aristide Giannelli. It was begun in 1938 and finished in 1951, planned as a northern entrance to the capital and intended to be called Ponte XXVIII Ottobre. From 1960 it has connected to the Corso di Francia viaduct.
