A cylindrical mall bounded by Queens Boulevard and by Justice, 55th and 56th Avenues, opened in 1965.
History
It was originally planned as a traditional rectangular construction designed to replace several blocks of residences, and had to be redesigned because Mary Sendek, the owner of the corner house at 55th Avenue and Queens Boulevard, refused to sell what had been her childhood home.
