The historic library hall on the second floor of the Collegio Romano. VIVE states that it is normally open only to scholars, and that it was opened to the public through the programme Incontriamoci al Collegio Romano, four lecture cycles and special openings running from March to December 2026. Anyone reading this after that programme has ended should assume scholarly access only until VIVE says otherwise.
History
The hall housed the Bibliotheca Maior of the Jesuit Studio. Since 1989 it has been a detached section of the Biblioteca di Archeologia e Storia dell'Arte, whose main reading room is in Palazzo Venezia.
