Scantic River at the Melrose access

A 784-acre park in three sections spanning Enfield, East Windsor and Somers along the Scantic River, with stretches of rapids and gentler water. The East Windsor section is reached from the Melrose and Harrington Lot access points in Broad Brook. Open daily 8 a.m. to sunset; hiking, fishing, boating and birding — no camping, no alcohol, pets leashed to 7 feet.
