Times Square & Broadway Pedestrian Plazas

Broadway's traffic lanes between 42nd and 47th Streets were closed to cars beginning Memorial Day 2009, made permanent in February 2010, with a granite-paver redesign completed in 2016; the plazas now host free year-round programming from the Times Square Alliance.
