Adam Stanton House and General Store

Built in 1791 by a wealthy merchant-businessman; in 1916 Adam Stanton's heirs left the house in trust to operate as a public museum, preserving original Stanton family furnishings, clothing, documents, and general-store inventory depicting 18th- and 19th-century New England life. Tours by appointment.
