Aldrich Free Public Library
Historic site · Plainfield, Connecticut
Built in 1895 in Queen Anne Victorian style by architect Charles F. Wilcox, funded by a bequest from mill owner David L. Aldrich, with land donated by business partner Edwin Milner. Listed on the National Register in 1994, retaining original oak bookcases, furniture and trim. Open Monday and Wednesday 10-6, Friday 10-3, Saturday 10-1; call ahead to confirm hours.
