The Hiram Percy Maxim Memorial Station, named for the founder of the Radio Club of Hartford, "known the world over for its on-air Morse code practice sessions and news bulletins." A reception area with exhibits, a rotating museum display, Maxim's own desk and an outdoor self-guided tour of the Diamond Terrace and antenna array. Headquarters and store Mon-Fri 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; W1AW open to visitors 10 a.m.-3:45 p.m. weekdays, closed major U.S. holidays. Phone (860) 594-0200.
