East River Waterfront Esplanade & Pier 35

Part of the two-mile East River Waterfront Project between Montgomery Street and the Battery Maritime Building, the rebuilt Pier 35 has an amphitheater-like second tier facing the harbor and connects to the greenway by a bridge; the phase between Catherine and Pike Slips was completed in 2015 with bike lanes, pavilions under the FDR, and waterfront seating.
