Adalberto Libera's congress building, a base 75 by 135 m in plan and 15 m high, with the Salone della Cultura inside it as a cube of 45 m per side and the Auditorium Capitalis seating 792. It is a working congress centre, and its owner publishes an events calendar rather than visiting hours, so no general opening hours are given here.

History

Libera won the competition for it; Terragni, Cattaneo and Lingeri came second. Work began in 1938 and the building was completed in 1954. It held the fencing events of the 1960 Olympic Games.
