Fiske Terrace-Midwood Park Historic District

Historic site · Midwood, New York

A New York City historic district covering roughly 250 early-1900s houses developed by the T. B. Ackerson Company from 1905 onward. It sits on the Midwood and Flatbush line.

History

Designated by the Landmarks Preservation Commission on March 18, 2008. Wikipedia notes that Ackerson personally built about 150 of the district's 250 designated houses, with others built by different developers. Midwood Park was a separate 1905 Ackerson tract, and the two adjoining developments were covered by this single designation rather than landmarked apart.
