The fountain in piazza d'Aracoeli. The Sovrintendenza Capitolina gives the author as Giacomo della Porta (1533-1602), dates it 1589, describes it in marble and travertine originally fed by the Acqua Felice, and names the sculptors Andrea Brasca, Pietro Gucci and Pace Naldini.
History
The same page records that the wide circular basin at the base was added around 1860, and that the fountain was restored in 2025 under the PNRR Caput Mundi programme.
