Gaylord House Museum

A six-room 1845 house museum built by architect Elias Gilman and later owned by Edward Arthur "Art" Gaylord. Sold to the Metropolitan District Commission in 1930 and nearly demolished, it was saved, leased to the Hartland Historical Society in 1981 and restored. Standing schedule: first Sunday of each month, May through October, 2-4 p.m., or by appointment; admission free. Email hartlandhistoricalsociety@gmail.com to confirm before visiting.
