Ocean Beach Park

A city-owned beach and boardwalk park on Long Island Sound, open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It has rides, waterslides, a mini golf course, an arcade, an Olympic-sized pool, a cafe and a food court, a nature walk, picnic areas, a health club and event spaces, and it hosts concerts, classic car cruise nights and fireworks. Guided kayak tours of Alewife Cove run through New England Science and Sailing. Parking is $30 on weekdays and $40 at weekends, $20 for entry after 6 p.m. and $10 for pedestrians.
