Windsor Locks Canal Trail State Park
Park · Windsor Locks, Connecticut
A 4.5-mile paved trail on the towpath where mules once hauled freight barges beside the historic canal. Free, with parking and leashed pets allowed. Season April 1-November 15, closed the rest of the year for bald eagle nesting; open a half hour before sunrise to a half hour after sunset.
