Daniel Benton Homestead Museum
Historic site · Tolland, Connecticut
Tolland's oldest house, on land Daniel Benton received in 1719. Its cellar, with its own large cooking fireplace, held Hessian and English prisoners for eighteen months during the Revolution. Open in season; $5 admission, tours by appointment (860-974-1875).
