Domus della Fortuna Annonaria

An aristocratic house entered through a columned protiro and a vestibule, with a courtyard holding the cast of a female statue identified either as Fortuna Annonaria or as the personification of Ostia.
History
The present form is of the fourth century AD, built over a house of the middle of the second century whose peristyle it kept. The apsed main hall was built for a semicircular stibadium, and a private room was later converted into a heated hall with a mythological mosaic.
