Palazzo Cesi-Gaddi

Historic site · Ponte, Lazio

A sixteenth-century palace at the corner of via della Maschera d'Oro and via degli Acquasparta.

History

it.wikipedia records that the Gaddi, Florentine merchants, built it in the early sixteenth century and that it was sold to the Rossi di San Secondo, then in 1567 to Angelo Cesi. In 1570 it was let to Ugo Boncompagni, who was Gregory XIII from 1572, and afterwards returned to the Cesi. Federico Cesi, duke of Acquasparta, lived here.
