Piazza Pio XII

The terminal square of via della Conciliazione, formed between Piacentini's two propylaea. Italian Wikipedia records that it occupies roughly the site of the demolished piazza Rusticucci.
History
Beyond the square the ground is Vatican City. No source states precisely where that change happens: the Lateran Treaty describes its border only by an annexed 1:5000 map, and the 1932–33 border commission's conclusions were never ratified.
