A Firmdale hotel at 79 Crosby Street with 86 rooms and suites spread over 11 floors, each individually designed, with interiors by Kit Kemp in what the hotel calls a playful English aesthetic. On site are the Crosby Bar, serving a relaxed brasserie menu and opening onto an ivy-laden terrace, a Sculpture Garden, a Drawing Room, a screening room and a gym.
History
The hotel was open and covered in the press by March 2011, when The Independent ran a piece on it. It is one of three New York properties run by Firmdale Hotels, alongside The Whitby Hotel and Warren Street Hotel; Firmdale's Kit and Tim Kemp were jointly awarded an MBE in 2012 for services to the hotel industry and charity.
